Jessica Maree is an up and coming young Australian performer/composer. She is completing her final year of study at the Australian Nation University’s School of Music, where she will obtain her Undergraduate Bachelor Degree in Music, majoring in Composition and Performance (Jazz/Contemporary Voice). She also completed three years of study at the Canberra Institute of Technology’s Music Industry Centre obtaining her Advanced Diploma in Music – Performance.
Jessica’s diverse vocal ability has allowed her to perform at a variety of venues and functions; her most recent honour was to perform for Sir Cosgrove the Governor General, his wife Lady Cosgrove and their guests at Government House. Jessica truly shines when performing in a band setting - belting out ballads and jazz classics. Her skill, determination and dedication was recognised when she was awarded the Bill Hyslop Prize for Voice in 2018.
She has recently received a grant to record original works and is in the process of writing and refining before recording later this year. Her songs come from her own experiences, and the experiences of those around her. She writes with honesty and genuineness, with the endeavour to connect with her audience on a deep level.
Jessica’s has recently been particularly invested in further developing her aptitude for composition, cultivating her passion for film scoring and art music.
